Our mission

This scholarship was established to help pave the way and celebrate all the different branches of dyslexic strengths and talents. 

Our mission will always be to help others understand that dyslexia is multifaceted. Where there is struggle, there is also a flip side of genius. 

Statistics show that 1 in 5 people are affected with dyslexia and we think it’s time to show the world that dyslexics were not meant to ‘fit in’, but rather, were made to ‘stand out’.  Grades aren't the only product of success- sometimes the most valuable things we learn cannot be given a grade. 

This scholarship will be awarded to a student who uses their dyslexic characteristics as a spring board for discovering their unique strengths and excelling. We are looking for a student who embraces their different way of thinking by standing out in their perseverance, resilience, and grit.
